Finale Svjetskog prvenstva između Hrvatske i Francuske sudit će argentinski sudac Nestor Pitana, objavila je u četvrtak FIFA. Pomoćnici Pitane bit će Argentinci Hernan Maidana i Juan P. Belatti, a za četvrtog suca postavljen je Bjorn Kuipers iz Nizozemske.
Pitani će to biti peta utakmica na ovom Svjetskom prvenstvu, a sudio je i Hrvatskoj i Francuskoj. Hrvatima je Argentinac sudio u osmini finala protiv Danske, a Francuzima četvrtfinale protiv Urugvaja. U grupnoj fazi natjecanja sudi je utakmice Rusija – Saudijska Arabija (5:0) i Meksiko – Švedska (0:3).
Subotnju utakmicu za treće mjesto između Belgije i Engleske sudit će Iranac Alireza Faghani.
