At least 12 people were killed in an overnight attack on a restaurant near Cairo, reports say that attackers threw petrol bombs at the restaurant in the plush quarter of Agouza, sparking a fire in the place. An unspecified number of people were also reported injured in the attack, the motives of which were not immediately clear. U napadu molotovljevim koktelom na restoran i noćni klub u Kairu u petak je ubijeno 16 ljudi a ranjeno dvoje, priopćile su sigurnosne službe.
Žrtve su izgorjele ili umrle od udisanja dima.
Restoran, koji je i noćni klub, nalazi se u središtu egipatske prijestolnice. Smješten je u podrumu zgrade odakle ne postoji izlaz za nuždu, rekli su dužnosnici.
Napadač je bivši zaposlenik restorana koji je dobio otkaz. Reestoran se nalazi u središtu Kaira.
